After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2007, Hannah Raisin returned for honours in 2012. For a decade she has continued to engage her playful and subversive performance based practice in numerous group shows, solo exhibitions and various forums throughout Australia. These have included live performances such as Dear Carolee, Love Cindy, Love Hannah at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (Melbourne, Victoria) for the 2013 Channels Festival, group exhibitions including Backflip: Feminism and humour in contemporary art at Margaret Lawrence Gallery (Melbourne, Victoria) in 2013 and solo shows such as Soak at Melbourne Art Rooms (Melbourne, Victoria) in 2015.

In 2013 and 2014 she was the recipient of Art Start and New Work Grants from the Australia Council. This funded a self-directed arts program throughout various locations in regional and urban Australia. Most recently Raisin returned from an Asialink Arts residency in Bangalore, India.
